Romantic Cabin with View

Located in the coffee region, in the Andean mountains of Colombia, South America, a charming cabana made from bamboo, with a great view and a “sendero” or pathway through the bamboo forest which criss-crosses our 5 acre organic farm, leading down to a stream. A place to relax and commune with nature.

Surrounded by beautiful rainforest plants, strategically placed for privacy, with an outdoor shower in a garden. Commune with nature, listen to crickets at night and birds in the morning.

Situated on a small organic farm. We grow tropical fruits and trees, flowers, with aloe vera and cacao as our main crops. There is an enchanting pathway through our bamboo forest, leading down to a mountain stream and a small waterfall.

Guests access

The cabana and outdoor bathroom are all yours! You can also enjoy outdoor activities like hiking through our bamboo forest or touring the coffee, cacao, and banana plantations. You can also use the fire pit or dining area in the common areas. Yudy usually serves breakfast and any other meals you request in the main house. You can also order food in the cabin or in the outdoor dining area.

Other things to note

• The king-size bed can be configured as two single beds to suit your needs.
• The bathroom and shower are located outside the cabin and are completely private, designed to offer a unique experience close to nature.
• High-speed fiber optic Wi-Fi for efficient and uninterrupted work and connection.
• A fire pit is available in the common areas for shared and relaxed outdoor moments.
• Laundry and drying service is available upon request for an additional fee.

The farm is in a quiet country setting, far enough away from the city that you do not hear traffic. Please know that you will not be close enough to easily walk to dinner- you must go by car. We can arrange a taxi to take you out to restaurants (the nearest town, El Caimo, is 7-10 minutes by car, 20-30 minutes on bicycle and 45 minutes–1 hour to walk), or Yudy can cook lunches and dinners for $45,000 COP per person per meal. (About $12 USD.) Yudy is a very good cook!

Finca La Luisa is a working organic farm and nature sanctuary in the heart of Colombia’s coffee region. It’s a place to slow down, breathe fresh mountain air, and reconnect with the land. The farm has been lovingly restored using sustainable practices that bring together agriculture, biodiversity, and peaceful living. Guests are welcome to walk the trails, explore the gardens, and experience the calm rhythm of rural life.

We are located in Vereda La Pradera - El Caimo, in Armenia, Quindio, Colombia. About 20 minutes from the airport in Armenia and about 30 minutes from the bus station in Armenia. We are happy to pick you up from either location for $40,000 COP during daylight hours and $45,000 COP at night, the same or less than a taxi. (about $10 USD.) Just let us know your arrival time, bus company or airline, and where you will be coming from.

If you are arriving by car, please call Yudy ahead of time to guide you. It is not well marked and easy to get lost, especially at night.

If you give us your shoe sizes, we will have rubber boots for you to hike around our farm. There is a lovely bamboo grove with a path that winds down to a stream and small waterfall.
