Charming Coffee Region Farm Escape

This bright and welcoming guest house offers the warmth of Colombian country life with the comfort of an independent stay. Overlooking green hills and surrounded by fruit trees and flowers, it’s a place to rest, breathe, and enjoy the calm rhythm of the farm.

Large windows fill the space with natural light, while hammocks and open-air areas invite you to slow down and take in the mountain breeze. The house combines rustic charm with thoughtful details — perfect for families, couples, or small groups seeking tranquility and a touch of everyday simplicity.

Here, time moves gently, mornings start with the sound of birds, and every sunset feels like a quiet conversation between the sky and the land.

Guests access

Guests will have their own separate apartment with a sleeping loft, connected to the main house by a breezeway, offering both comfort and independence. From here, they are free to roam the farm, walk through the bamboo forest, explore the coffee, cacao, and banana plantations, relax in the hammocks along the corridor of the main house, and enjoy the shared fire pit and common dining areas. Breakfast and any home-cooked meals prepared by Yudy are usually served in the main house dining area, but can also be enjoyed in the apartment or the outdoor dining area, according to each guest’s preference.

• The kitchen is fully equipped with basic cooking utensils, tableware, and a refrigerator.
• High-speed fiber optic Wi-Fi for efficient and uninterrupted work and connection.
• A fire pit is available in the common areas for shared and relaxed outdoor moments.
• Laundry and drying service is available upon request for an additional fee.

The farm is in a quiet country setting, far enough away from the city that you do not hear traffic. Please know that you will not be close enough to easily walk to dinner- you must go by car. We can arrange a taxi to take you out to restaurants (the nearest town, El Caimo, is 7-10 minutes by car, 20-30 minutes on bicycle and 45 minutes–1 hour to walk), or Yudy can cook lunches and dinners for $45,000 COP per person per meal. (About $12 USD.) Yudy is a very good cook!

Finca La Luisa is a working organic farm and nature sanctuary in the heart of Colombia’s coffee region. It’s a place to slow down, breathe fresh mountain air, and reconnect with the land. The farm has been lovingly restored using sustainable practices that bring together agriculture, biodiversity, and peaceful living. Guests are welcome to walk the trails, explore the gardens, and experience the calm rhythm of rural life.

We are located in Vereda La Pradera - El Caimo, in Armenia, Quindio, Colombia. About 20 minutes from the airport in Armenia and about 30 minutes from the bus station in Armenia. We are happy to pick you up from either location for $40,000 COP during daylight hours and $45,000 COP at night, the same or less than a taxi. (about $10 USD.) Just let us know your arrival time, bus company or airline, and where you will be coming from.

If you are arriving by car, please call Yudy ahead of time to guide you. It is not well marked and easy to get lost, especially at night.

If you give us your shoe sizes, we will have rubber boots for you to hike around our farm. There is a lovely bamboo grove with a path that winds down to a stream and small waterfall.
